Well, this more or less seals the deal to have Natalie Portman back as Thor's love interest Jane Foster in Thor: The Dark World, wouldn't you say? Kat Dennings, the 2 Broke Girls actress who played Portman's acerbic sidekick Darcy Lewis in Kenneth Branagh's film adaptation of Marvel Comics' Thor, will return for the film's sequel, according to Deadline Hollywood. This, in spite of the fact that the film has widely been discussed as taking place primarily on Asgard and the Other Realms, implying that Thor's time spent on earth in the film would be scant and that the chances of bringing back the human supporting cast might be diminished as a result. Thor: The Dark World is filming now in London, although it's hard to imagine that Dennings could take off to film there given her demanding TV schedule; 2 Broke Girls has been one of the highest-rated new shows on CBS in years, and its second season premiere is set for just over a month from now. Thor: The Dark World stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Eccleston, Anthony Hopkins and Zachary Levi, among others. The film will be directed by Game of Thrones' Alan Taylor, and it will be released to theaters in the U.S. on November 8, 2013.
