Kirk Hammett, the lead player for Metallica, announced today that he'll be releasing his first book, Too Much Horror Business: The Kirk Hammett Collection, just in time for Halloween this October. Detailing his personal experiences as a collector and lover of horror toys, props and other memorabilia, the book is part autobiography, part history of horror and part photo book, featuring 300 full-color images from Hammett's private collection with photography by Mark Leialoha and Joe Gibbs. "This is my gift to all the other horror nerds out there who are just like me," Hammett said in a statement. "It's been made with great love for all the many characters and movies which guided me through childhood, into adulthood and which still keep me on track today." Besides the book and t-shirts featuring its cover, Hammett will return to specialty toy manufacturing himself through the Kirk Von Hammett line, beginning October 1.
