'Six-Pack Mom' Sarah Stage Finally Claps Back at Critics of Her Barely-There Baby Bump

Sarah Stage is tired of people criticizing her barely-there baby bump. The "Six-Pack Mom" is famous for maintaining her six-pack all the way through her first pregnancy in 2015, and at seven months pregnant it looks like she will be doing the same during her current pregnancy.

As I'm nearing #8months I've wanted to share what's been on my mind. Since I've announced my second pregnancy, I've had certain "Instagram medical experts" tell me what I should and shouldn't do.. And while I find some of the comments hilarious, I choose to only listen to my OBGYN and of course I also listen to MY body. If something feels off, I don't do it! I always do what's best for my growing baby and put him first! It's a proven medical fact that continuing exercising while pregnant has many health benefits for you and baby 🤰🏻👶🏻 Clearly, I have greatly reduced the intensity of my workouts and stick to at home home exercises from my Fitness Ebook 2-3x a week. There are also some people who assume that since I am exercising while pregnant, that I'm obsessed with how I "look" but in fact I'm obsessed with maintaining a healthy lifestyle that will give my baby and myself the best possible quality of life 😊 Alternatively, I don't judge anyone who chooses to not be active while pregnant etc. as it's their own life... I'm just sharing my pregnancy journey and appreciate the positive support from most of you ❤️ #thirdtrimester #7monthspregnant #8monthspregnant

Stage took to Instagram on Tuesday to clap back at critics and those who offer her unsolicited advice. Beneath a workout video in which Stage did a series of squats, lunges and side crunches, she slammed commenters who say she shouldn't be working out.

"As I'm nearing #8months I've wanted to share what's been on my mind," Stage began. "Since I've announced my second pregnancy, I've had certain 'Instagram medical experts' tell me what I should and shouldn't do.. And while I find some of the comments hilarious, I choose to only listen to my OBGYN and of course I also listen to MY body. If something feels off, I don't do it! I always do what's best for my growing baby and put him first!"

The super fit lingerie model has kept up her workouts (at a less intense pace) throughout the duration of her pregnancy, just like she did with her first pregnancy.

"It's a proven medical fact that continuing exercising while pregnant has many health benefits for you and baby," she wrote, adding that she has "clearly reduced" the intensity of her workouts that she does two to three times per week.

She went on to say that her reasoning behind exercising through her pregnancy is to stay healthy, not to look good.

"There are also some people who assume that since I am exercising while pregnant, that I'm obsessed with how I 'look' but in fact I'm obsessed with maintaining a healthy lifestyle that will give my baby and myself the best possible quality of life," she wrote. "Alternatively, I don't judge anyone who chooses to not be active while pregnant etc. as it's their own life... I'm just sharing my pregnancy journey and appreciate the positive support from most of you."

Stage has been criticized during her pregnancy not only for the size of her small baby bump, but also for doing exercises that her Instagram audience didn't deem suitable.

In July, commenters questioned the safety of the exercises she was performing. The workout in question featured crunches; the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommends avoiding lying on your back during your second and third trimester. Stage clarified in the caption that she had received the green light from her doctor on the exercises in the video, and later announced that she has stopped doing crunches in her third trimester.

The fit mom has responded to her critics before. Earlier this month she wrote "I represent anyone who has dealt with doubters, trolls, and bullies. It feels great to prove ignorant people wrong and even better to know that all you have to do is believe in yourself."
