Ben Affleck Reportedly Celebrated His Birthday with Jennifer Garner Amid Divorce

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are in the middle of divorce, but that didn't stop the two from spending some time together this week.

The estranged couple spent some time together this week just ahead of Affleck's birthday. Affleck then went to dinner with the couple's children, 11-year-old Violet, 8-year-old Seraphina and 5-year-old Samuel.

"[Jen and Ben] spent time together as family this week and he took the kids to dinner," the source told ET. "They were laughing and, at one point, Sam was climbing on him [at dinner]."

Garner was seen earlier in the day getting her hair done at the Brentwood, California, salon Drybar. She then was spotted with a white cake box in hand, presumably for Affleck.

Affleck and Garner originally began dating in 2004, with a wedding following their courtship in 2005. The couple filed for divorce in April after being separated for nearly two years.

The couple have appeared to be on good terms this year. Affleck has had a share of struggles recently, including alcoholism rehabilitation and professional pressures from his role as Batman. Garner is said to be supportive during these hard times.

They mutually agreed to formally file for divorce in April once Affleck was on solid ground.

"She gave him a chance to finish rehab and to be in a healthy place and then they decided together it was time to take this step," a source said at the time. "It was a coordinated effort and they are on the same page."

Affleck has reportedly moved on, but Garner has been photographed with Affleck's family, which spurred rumors of reconciliation.
