Aaron Carter's relationship with his brother Nick Carter is far from great, and the young Carter is now speaking out about their lack of communication.

The 29-year-old pop singer addressed the now-infamous tweet his Backstreet Boy brother sent at the time of Carter's recent DUI.

"To my brother: I love u no matter what & if u feel the need to reach for help, I am here and willing to help you get better," Nick tweeted.

Though, according to Carter, that public statement was the only attempt Nick made to help him.

"There was this whole thing that happened with the DUI and stuff, and my brother had my number, and he's like [on Twitter], 'If you need help,' like, dude, what are you talking about?" Carter said on the Elvis Duran and the Morning Show.

"You don't even know me, Nick. You don't even talk to me. We see each other once or twice a year. That's what it is … [but] I love my brother, I always love my brother," Carter added. "I think he loves me conditionally."

Carter also revealed the beginning of a frayed relationship with Nick began in 2006 as their family's reality show, House of Carters, began airing. Nick ridiculed Carter during the series premiere, and it stung him bad.

"I remember watching when I did the House of Carters show with my family — I remember watching the first episode and within 20 minutes, I saw my brother and his best friend making fun of me and my beats," he said. "They're laughing at me, and I'm sitting with all my friends watching this and I'm really embarrassed."

Elsewhere in the emotional interview, Carter touched on his decision to come out as bisexual. He compared his life pre-revelation to "living a lie."

"I came out about my history and that I'm attracted to men and women equally … and the last five relationships, I've been with girls," he said. "But I just can't live a lie."

Carter also addressed the negative comments made about him after his recent legal trouble, health scare and sexuality reveal, which made him even more sad. Carter later apologized to fans for becoming so encompassed with emotion during his interview and following performance.

"I'm sorry I got emotional at my performance @ElvisDuranShow," he tweeted. "[The] negative comments really hurt, my music is about my relationships & my father that I just recently lost."
