Alison Sweeney, the former host of Biggest Loser, just secured a major court victory against a man who she claimed has been harassing her online for many months.

A judge granted Sweeney a permanent restraining order against Jon Christopher LuVisi, a man who has allegedly trolled her online for almost a year.

LuVisi reportedly tried to extort Sweeney by telling her that he had photos of her private parts that he would send to her husband unless she paid him. He is said to have asked for thousands of dollars.

According to TMZ, neither LuVisi nor his legal representation showed up to the court date.

Earlier this month, Sweeney was granted a temporary restraining order against LuVisi, and the new permanent one is only applicable for three years.

Unfortunately, Sweeney isn't the only actress having to take legal action against online harassers.

Ellen Page has been receiving death threats on her Instagram page, and it's become so bad that the Los Angeles Police Department has opened an investigation.

According to TMZ, the person in question sent several horrible messages to Page.

One message reported called her a "lying worthless Canadian" and a "bitch actress" who "needs to die in my hands."

Another supposedly said, "I find Ellen and kidnap her and kill her throat and let everyone see it on my Instagram."

The report reveals that last month LAPD detectives were able to get a search warrant in order to trace the IP address of the person who sent the messages, but, to date, no arrests have been made.
