Bayley is going to SummerSlam.

In an electric match with close friend Sasha Banks, Bayley was able to reverse a pin and steal a huge win from The Boss. She will face Alexa Bliss August 20th at the Barclays Center for the RAW Women's championship.

The outcome comes as a bit of a surprise as it seemed like WWE had been gearing itself for a Great Balls of Fire rematch between Banks and Bliss. That and the last time Bliss and Bayley met up it was simply uncompetitive.

Up Next: Did Sasha Banks Just Hint At Retirement?

It wasn't just that Bayley lost her matches with Alexa, she was wholly outclassed by the Goddess of WWE on the microphone. In several promos, Bliss would expose Bayley's lack of progress and the discrepancy would ultimately harm their feud.

But consider this Bayley's redemption song.

Can the Hugger actually take the title off of Bliss? It remains to be seen and WWE likely does not yet know the outcome. Bayley will have to prove herself over the course of the next month.

Oddly Sasha Banks finds herself cut out of RAW's main event. It seemed like it was her turn at the top but she'll be joining her friend Charlotte on the sidelines at SummerSlam.

However, something tells me that Sasha Banks is not done with this picture. She teased a heel turn earlier this evening and WWE could be working towards that big moment at SummerSlam. As an integral part of the Women's Revolution, it would be odd to see her in a role player stature for WWE's second biggest show of the year.

There are some who think WWE's Women's Revolution is little more than a publicity stunt aiming to assuage complaints against neglect. Upon some light investigating that argument can be easily squelched.

Women now find themselves an integral part of WWE's product. More so than ever, the ladies in WWE are featured as competitors rather than eye candy. Instead of bra and panties matches, we have been given women's Hell in a Cell Matches. Instead of mud wrestling, WWE's women now compete in ladder matches. Even further, the girls of WWE have become priorities on the card. Gone are the days of 2-minute formality - women are trending towards becoming headliners.
