Country icon Randy Travis suffered a devastating stroke in 2013 that left the singer with serious impacts on his health, but the star has spent the past few years working to recover, and in a new interview with Life Today, Travis and his wife, Mary, revealed that things are looking up.

The couple revealed that Randy's heart is in "near perfect" condition after a virus traveled to the organ, causing the stroke. For two and a half years, the singer spent every day in therapy, and is walking and beginning to regain speech, which doctors initially thought impossible.
