Who doesn't like an old photo of themselves? They're always good for a laugh or at least some gratitude that you aren't that person anymore. Nostalgia like that is one of WWE's best products. But, don't tell that to Sasha Banks.

When WWE surprised with an old photo of herself from 2012, Sasha Banks had quite the visceral reaction:

"Eww. Gross. Ewww ... what?!? Ew, gross.

"I think I was just trying to be pretty and trying to be somewhat I'm not. Like, I'm not a model -- I hate taking pictures. I remember thinking 'what kind of poses can I do?' That was one of them, I was thinking the Trish Stratus pose, you know?

"Very skinny; barely any meat on my bones; same beautiful smile; a couple of broken noses after; better eyebrows, for sure.

"That's crazy, because I remember being so nervous and so happy that I was here in the WWE. I would say just don't give up and keep doing what you're doing because you will become a legit boss, you will become a three time women's champion, you'll become the first ever woman to main event a pay-per-view because you are so shy and so nervous. I still love what I do very, very much. I have so much passion for the WWE and I knew that I wanted to change the game, and here I am today, changing the game."

Banks has certainly become the catalyst for change in women's wrestling having taken part in several seminal moments.

Women like Banks now find themselves an integral part of WWE's product. More so than ever, the ladies in WWE are featured as competitors rather than eye candy. Instead of bra and panties matches, we have been given women's Hell in a Cell Matches. Instead of mud wrestling, WWE's women now compete in ladder matches. Even further, the girls of WWE have become priorities on the card. Gone are the days of 2-minute formality - women are trending towards becoming headliners.

Banks herself has been one of the figureheads of this movement along with Charlotte Flair. Sasha finds herself currently entwined with RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss. Next week at TAw she'll be fighting her close friend, Bayley for a chance at the RAW Women's championship. Banks has been removed from the women's main event since WrestleMania and now looks to be heading towards a SummerSlam showdown against the champion.
