With just days to go for the highly anticipated August fight between Conor McGregor and the unbeaten Floyd Mayweather, Mayweather may have crossed a line in the friendly fire of smack talk.

TMZ reports that Mayweather dropped a gay slur on McGregor on the final day of their worldwide press tour during a London news conference, calling him a "fa---t."

ESPN's Dan Rafael reported the news said during Friday's press conference sharing a tweet that revealed offensive language.

In the moment, it was shared that Mayweather grabbed the microphone and started ripping into McGregor, calling him a slew of names, including the homophobic slur. While McGregor did not react, the crowd did and was quite vocal in their disagreement of the smack talk.

This incident comes just days after McGregor told Mayweather to "Dance for me, boy" on two separate occasions that initially sparked accusations of racism and a suit that had the words, "f--k you" emblazoned on the print, doubling as a pinstripe.

Earlier this week, Mayweather told TMZ Sports that he couldn't care less if McGregor was a racist, saying, "I don't worry about that."

Mayweather and McGregor are scheduled to fight in a boxing match on Aug. 26 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
