Kim Kardashian Facing Backlash Over Flu Weight Loss Tweet
Kim Kardashian West is facing some Internet backlash after an insensitive tweet about weight [...]
The tweet brought people to her page to voice their opinions over the message. Although some of her fans defended the tweet, a lot of other users bashed the reality star for tweeting such a message when the flu is a serious illness to some people.
@stiIIsad "The flu can be an amazing diet. So happy it came in time for the Met lol #6lbsdown"
— PRADASLUT (@xnaraarts) April 19, 2017
The tweet was likely not meant maliciously, though Kardashian should know that between 12,000 and 59,000 people die from influenza every year in the U.S., according to the CDC.
One of the most notable responses to the tweet was made by a user who pointed out the similarities between the comment and a scene from the movie, "The Devil Wears Prada." Check it out below:

Some people used clips from Kim K's own E! reality series to tell the starlet that her message was wrong.
Just check out the tweet above, which shows Kim's sister Kourtney yelling at the reality star when she cried over losing expensive earrings in the ocean.
Others users simply just called out Kardashian for promoting weight loss from sickness.
And one user even brought Kim's daughter North into the situation asking the reality show star how she'd feel if she heard her daughter saying these exact words.
@KimKardashian maybe don't glamorize sickness for weight loss

@KimKardashian Now imagine saying that to your daughter after she gets sick...
