Andy Park, Marvel Studios' superstar conceptual artist that has worked on such films as Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Captain America: Civil War, has released a sensational piece of concept art that he conjured up for Scott Derrickson's Doctor Strange. It features a slightly alternate design for Dr. Stephen Strange's (Benedict Cumberbatch) mystical wardrobe.

In the film, Strange sports a blue kimono shirt with orgami-like folds. What was the inspiration for that? "What I was trying to find is a mystical world that supports the story," Oscar-winning costume designer Alexandra Byrne told the LA Times. "For that outfit, I'd found this beautiful Chinese children's coat made out of 10 layers of indigo fabric. And the way the 10 layers were stitched through and the seams were lined up and the top layer was sort of coated and waxed, I thought: 'Oh, so that's how I can achieve it.' There are clear moments where you feel like you have a breakthrough and then those moments when you think, 'Ugh, help!' That was a clear breakthrough moment."

He quickly learns that this is not just a center for healing but also the front line of a battle against unseen dark forces bent on destroying our reality. Before long Strange – armed with newly acquired magical powers – is forced to choose whether to return to his life of fortune and status or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence. Join Strange on his dangerous, mystifying, and totally mind-bending journey.
