If you're of the belief that a Hawkeye and Black Widow movie "makes sense," then you're not alone. Jeremy Renner agrees with you.

The actor who plays Clint Barton in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was recently asked if he would like to see his Hawkeye go off on a big screen adventure with his fellow Avenger, Black Widow. There's no doubt Hawkeye has been underused by comparison to the rest of the Marvel heroes on the big screen, so the idea of exploring that Budapest storyline with the two characters is one which is almost universally welcomed by fans. Whether or not that's the story Renner has in mind, no one knows, but he is game for a movie given their history.

"I always thought it would make sense early on to do a Hawkeye/Widow movie because they're quite similar - they don't have powers, have high skill sets, and have history together, but I don't think there are any discussions about that happening," Renner said. "I'd love to do it though."

Renner would likely be up for a film with most of the other Avengers. Given the amount of time the actors have spent together through a total of 13 films in the MCU, they have become pretty close.

"We've become great friends," Renner said. "I see Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., and Scarlett Johansson quite a lot. Chris Hemsworth has been so busy I haven't hung out with him for a while and Elizabeth Olsen is a neighbour, so I see her quite often."

Hemsworth has been in his homeland of Australia filming Thor: Ragnarok but will soon be returning to the states to reprise his role in Avengers: Infinity War.

"We've shot in London but it's hard for all of us to be away from our families so we're doing the next two back-to-back in Atlanta," Renner said.
