An all new image from New Line Cinema's' upcoming adaptation of Stephen King's IT movie has surfaced, and it is completely terrifying.

Makeup effects artist Tom Woodruff shared the photo on Instagram with the caption: "#adi Pennywise makeup for 2017's IT."

The new image shows Pennywise the clown wearing an off-white costume with red buttons that match the color of the balloon that the creepy character is holding in his left hand. With a devilish grin, and his right arm outstretched, Pennywise is seen standing in what looks like a rural area with high blades of overgrown dead grass up to his waist.

While the snap is a bit blurry, it's clear to see how utterly horrifying Bill Skarsgard's portrayal of Pennywise is going to be in the forthcoming film.

Lloyd Pagett, a source allegedly close to the production of the film, gave a statement to the unofficial Stephen King's It Remake Facebook page regarding Skarsgard's Pennywise, and compared it to the original Tim Curry version of the role.

"People are gonna be surprised by the amount of charisma and twisted humor Bill [Skarsgard] is bringing to the table," Pagett said. "Tim Curry's take while fun was kind of stiff because of the limits they had on television, but this film is not going to let up. It will be a HARD R, giving Pennywise's character a whole new level of messed up."

IT is being directed by Mama helmer Andy Muschietti.

The cast for IT includes Bill Skarsgard (Simple Simon) as Pennywise, Javier Botet (Mama) as The Leper, Jaeden Lieberher (Midnight Special) as Bill Denbrough, Jeremy Ray Taylor (42) as Ben Hanscom, Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) as Richie Tozier, Chosen Jacobs (Hawaii Five-0) as Mike Hanlon, Wyatt Oleff (Guardians of the Galaxy) as Stanley Uris, Nicholas Hamilton (Captain Fantastic) as Henry Bowers, Owen Teague (Bloodline) as Patrick Hockstetter, and newcomer Sophia Lillis as Beverly Marsh.

The story is going to be presented in a two-part series. Part One focuses on the Losers Club while Part Two is set around the characters as adults, according to Coming Soon.

The first IT will hit theaters September 8, 2017.
