This week, Lionsgate begins the return of six horror cult classics, to Blu-ray for the first time with all new special features, as the Vestron Video Collector's Series.

Vestron Video was a pioneer in the home video market, releasing cult movies, B movies, and the Cannon Films library to VHS, among other things. They were the original home video distributors of Dirty Dancing, Monster Squad, and An American Werewolf in London. Defunct in 1992, the label and some of their titles are back through Lionsgate, starting with this week's releases of Blood Diner and Chopping Mall.

Lionsgate Home Entertainment have provided ComicBook.com with a brief, exclusive clip from Blood Diner, featuring actor Drew Godderis, who played Anwar, discussing his favorite scene from the movie.

Directed by Jackie Kong, Blood Diner was released in 1987 through Lightning Pictures, then went on to be released on VHS by Vestron Video in that same year.

The story centers on two brothers who are brainwashed by their serial killer uncle (Godderis) into doing his bidding. In order to raise an ancient Egyptian goddess, two cannibalistic brothers use their restaurant to add something special to the menu.

The film also starred Rick Burks, Carl Crew, Roger Dauer, LaNette La France and Lisa Elaina.

Blood Diner and Chopping Mall are both on sale tomorrow. Other upcoming Vestron releases include Waxwork/Waxwork II: Lost in Time, Return of the Living Dead 3, and C.H.U.D. II: Bud the CHUD. Each limited-edition feature, transferred from the original film elements to high-definition Blu-ray™, is packed with special features including brand-new audio commentaries, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and interviews with cast and crew. The suggested retail for each release is $39.99, although you can get Blood Diner right now on Amazon for about 2/3 of that.
