Bruce Campbell Explains Dangers Of Having A Chainsaw For A Hand

To promote the second season of Ash vs Evil Dead, which makes its debut this Sunday on STARZ, Bruce Campbell appears in a new Funny or Die video — pretending he and his iconic chainsaw-wielding character, Ash Williams, are one in the same — and shows some moments in his day-to-day life in which having a chainsaw for a hand isn't as badass as it sounds.

When his real hand is being put to good use holding his iced latte, Campbell tries to pay for it by offering the money on the chainsaw's guide bar. It doesn't go well for the cashier. Sitting outside, still enjoying his yummy beverage, Campbell chats up a gorgeous woman walking her dog and asks to pet it. I'm sure you can guess what happens next. On a college campus, now with a guitar in his good hand, Campbell slices through the instrument and tries to retrieve a joint from a pothead that heckled him.

The second season of the STARZ Original series Ash vs Evil Dead will be 10 half-hour episodes. The cast is led by Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead, "Burn Notice") in the role of Ash Williams; Lucy Lawless ("Salem," "Spartacus") as Ruby, who now possesses the powerful Necronomicon; Ray Santiago ("Touch," Meet the Fockers) as Pablo Simon Bolivar, Ash's loyal sidekick dealing with the trauma he suffered in the cabin; and Dana DeLorenzo (A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas) as Kelly Maxwell, who, grief-stricken after the death of her parents, plots revenge against The Evil Dead.

Lee Majors (Do You Believe) will play the role of Brock Williams, Ash's father, and Ted Raimi ("Xena: Warrior Princess," Spider-Man) will play the role of Ash's childhood best friend, Chet Kaminski

Sam Raimi serves as executive producer with Rob Tapert (Evil Dead, "Spartacus," Xena: Warrior Princess"), Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead, "Burn Notice") and Ivan Raimi (Drag Me To Hell, Spider-Man 3) along with Craig DiGregorio ("Workaholics," "Chuck") who serves as executive producer/showrunner. Aaron Lam ("Spartacus") and Moira Grant ("Spartacus") serve as producers.

Season 2 of Ash vs Evil Dead will premiere Sunday, October 2 at 8pm ET on Starz.
