Oscar winner Brie Larson and Armie Hammer have joined forces for the upcoming film titled Free Fire, and from the looks of things, this movie is going to blast into theaters with guns blazing.

The forthcoming shoot-em-up comedy was directed by Ben Wheatley (High-Rise) and is a 1970s-set action flick that looks like a hybrid between Shane Black's The Nice Guys and pretty much any Quentin Tarantino film. The film recently screened at the Toronto International Film Festival and depicts the story of two gangs meeting at an abandoned warehouse to exchange firearms. Before the drop takes place, things get hilariously/terribly out of hand and bullets begin flying all over the place. The meat of the film looks as if it will be centered around an intense and wildly entertaining free-for-all shootout between the gun-runners and the buyers.

Brie Larson, who recently won an Academy Award for her role in Room, is the only female caught up in the madness. The 26-year-old actress is joined by Hammer (The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) , Sharlto Copley (District 9), Cilian Murphy (Inception), Sam Riley (Control), Enzo Cilenti (The Martian), Michael Smiley (Perfume: The Story of a Murderer), Babou Ceesay (Eye in the Sky), and Jack Raynor (Glassland).

According to EW, the film was recently acquired by A24 (the company who owns Larson's Room) back in March.

Look for Free Fire coming to theaters in 2017.
