Martial arts master and action movie star Jackie Chan will be awarded an honorary Oscar for his "extraordinary achievements" in film.

Chan, along with a few other recipients, will be given the award at the Academy's Governors Awards on November 12.

Chan started his film career in Hong Kong with the classic Police Story, but quickly garnered fame with the always entertaining Rumble in the Bronx which then catapulted him into the Rush Hour series with Chris Tucker. And according to The Academy, he spent four decades "charming audiences with his dazzling athleticism, inventive stunt work and boundless charisma."

Jackie Chan is famously known for executing his own stunts in film and let's just say it never gets old to watch.

Chan is a true master of his craft and deserves this award fully. From Rush Hour to Rumble in the Bronx, his fight scenes and morality bleed through the screen and capture audiences to the point where they are standing and cheering in the end.

A huge congratulations to Mr. Chan!
