ABC's Freeform confirmed this week that Pretty Little Liars will be coming to an end after Season 7, but the show's creator, Marlene King, is already looking for ways to get the cast back together on screen in the future.

King told Variety, "I would say, probably to make myself feel better about the show coming to an end, we're very open to finding ways to keep these characters alive."

When asked about the possibility of a PLL movie, King stated, "I hope that down the line, we find a way to bring all the girls back together again. It's such a fun world to play in that we're always keeping that option open."

While everyone involved with the show thinks that the conclusion of Season 7 is a natural finishing point for the series, Freeform exec Karey Burke addressed the movie rumors by saying, "I think the reason there has been speculation is because I think the people involved love doing the show." She continued, "It's not a show that really anybody wanted to leave or wanted to end."

So for all the Pretty Little Liars fans out there, a movie may not be in the works just yet, but the idea has not been completely ruled out. Until April of next year, the showrunners will be entirely focused on the final 10 episodes.

"The next 10 are emotionally the most powerful 10 we've ever had," Marlene King explained. "The actresses are having so much fun with how deep they get to go with these final 10 episodes. They're just having so much fun because their characters are so layered. We really put them through the wringer."
