It must feel good for Paul Feig and company to see the positive reactions that their much debated Ghostbusters reboot is getting from the critics, which have culminated in a certified fresh rating from movie score aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.

Ghostbusters is currently sitting at a 75% Fresh rating, one point above last week's box office champ The Secret Life of Pets. The film seems to have come a long way since that disappointing first trailer.

Many have weighed in about what they enjoyed most about the reboot, including previous Ghostbusters Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Bill Murray, who praised the film after an early screening. Director Kevin Smith also recently weighed in, and in addition to giving some comedic props to the film, noted a wonderful moment he had while there.

"This is the really f***ing sweet thing. Like, this was crazy, dude. There were little kids in my theater dancing, dressed up like Ghostbusters. And singing the song and dancing. But this gets even more tender: They were little girls. So, you're sitting there going, like, 'Oh, there it is, man.' [That's] the power of the flick, and it hadn't even started yet. I don't know if they were dancing after the movie, but before the movie, it was a really beautiful thing to see."

You can read his entire review here, but it looks like the film is succeeding at what it set out to do, and that's to introduce the franchise to a whole new audience of fans.
