Disney Reveals New Signs After Alligator Attack

In response to the recent alligator attack, that claimed the life of two-year-old Lane Graves, Disney is now putting up signs to warn of alligators in the area.

The statement released by Vice President of Walt Disney World Resorts, Jacquee Wahler stated, "We are installing signage and temporary barriers at our resort beach locations and are working on permanent, long-term solutions at our beaches. We continue to evaluate processes and procedures for our entire property, and, as part of this, we are reinforcing training with our Cast for reporting sightings and interactions with wildlife and are expanding our communication to Guests on this topic."

The alligator attacked the toddler on Tuesday night at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. He was found 16 hours later on Wednesday afternoon by a team of divers that located his body near the area of the attack.

The autopsy revealed that the two-year-old died as a result of drowning and sustaining traumatic injuries. Lane's parents recently released a statement saying, "Words cannot describe the shock and grief our family is experiencing over the loss of our son. We are devastated and ask for privacy during this extremely difficult time."

In addition to adding the new signage, Disney has been doing all they can to remedy the situation even offering free rooms to some of the hotel's guests.
