Ubisoft has released a new trailer for South Park: The Fractured But Whole, their latest video game featuring Comedy Central's iconic animated characters.

The trailer was unveiled earlier today at the E3 conference before making its way online.

In the game, Cartman is determined to turn Coon and Friends into the biggest superhero franchise of all time. South Park: The Fractured But Whole will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

As you might expect with a description like that and a brand identity like South Park, there's plenty of superhero shenanigans going on in the trailer. Among other things, the trailer pokes fun at the behind-the-scenes shuffling to decide who gets what kind of studio support, from solo versus team movies, to Netflix shows, to the identity politics of "marketable" superheroes.

The Fractured But Whole will take cues from Ubisoft's previous South Park game Stick of Truth -- and let fans who missed that one have a shot at it, too. Fans who buy The Fractured But Whole will also get a free copy of South Park: The Stick of Truth on PS4/Xbox One/PC, or you can get a copy of Stick of Truth if you pre-purchase the game starting today.

...And, yes, there's a whole Marvel/DC thing that plays out as "Civil War," which is kind of a mixed metaphor, but it works for the joke so we'll allow it.
