Fast & Furious 8 made a big splash when it added Oscar winner Charlize Theron to the cast. The talented actress will play the main antagonist of the film, but not much else is known. What's interesting is that Jason Statham's Deckard Shaw is also returning, but for how big a role no one knows.

Having the two team up in some way would be a surefire way to get Hobbs (The Rock) to call in the calvary. Dwayne Johnson posted a photo to his Instagram, formally welcoming the actress to the cast.
"Want to officially welcome my good bud and all around bad ass Charlize Theron to Fast & Furious 8."
After the warm introduction, he continued to gush about his new co-star.
"When MTV asked her how she felt about coming in and playing the villain, her response was classic and the reason why I love that woman..she said, "I'm coming to mess that shit up!"
As a fan of both actors, and of the franchise in general, having someone of Theron's stature as the villain is a huge get, and we already know she excels when playing an adversarial or physical role from past films. This should be a perfect blend of both.
Fast And Furious 8 releases on April 4th, 2017.
