Guillermo Del Toro Says Pacific Rim 2 Is Still Going

Rumors about the sequel to Pacific Rim have swirled in every direction for the past couple of years. Most recently, the word has been that plans for Pacific Rim 2 would either cancelled or put on hold.

However, according the mind behind the film, Pacific Rim 2 is "still going."

Guillermo del Toro, director of Pacific Rim and several other geek culture phenomena, took to Twitter Monday to debunk any rumors of the sequel's cancellation.

Pac Rim 2 cancelled? Don't believe everything you read. It's still going and I'll remain w it in one way or another!

Pacific Rim was wonderfully received by fans and many critics, however, it didn't exactly break records at the box office despite having a hefty budget. No release date has been talked about for the sequel but at least know it's still alive.
