John Goodman Joins Kong: Skull Island

John Goodman has joined the cast of Legendary Pictures' Kong: Skull Island, Deadline reports. Goodman will play Randa, a government officially leading the expedition to the mysterious island home of King Kong.

Goodman joins an already stellar cast, which also includes Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson (Room), Samuel L. Jackson and John C. Reilly. The film is expected to begin production this fall.

Goodman is well known for his long acting career, appearing in films like Argo, The Big Lebowski, and Raising Arizona, and TV Series like Roseanne and Community.

Kong: Skull Island's plot revolves around Hiddleston's character mounting a rescue mission after his brother becomes lost on Skull Island while looking for a panacea serum called Titan.
