Today is Wes Craven's birthday.

Wes Craven is a director, writer, and producer, whose name is practically synonymous with horror movies. Craven has directed all four movies in the Scream film franchise, Vampire in Brooklyn, and My Soul to Take, amongst others.

Craven's writing and producing credits, however, link him to some of the most iconic horror movies ever, including the Nightmare on Elm Street series, The Hills Have Eyes, and The Last House on the Left. He also produces the Scream TV series, which is currently airing on MTV.
