In the early morning of Aug. 28, 2005, someone or someones, that are more sinister than the Wicked Witch of the West, stole Dorothy's iconic ruby red slippers from an exhibit at the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. They have never been recovered.

An anonymous donor has stepped forward, offering a sizable reward that should motivate someone to help put an end to this case that has gone cold for years. $1 million will be given to the person that provides "credible information" that leads to the "exact location of the slippers and the perpetrator's name."

These are slippers that were worn by Judy Garland in the 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz. They are one of five pair that have survived over the decades and are among the most sought after piece of movie memorabilia. If they were recovered most experts believe they could fetch $2 million to $3 million at auction.
