The X-Files Coming Soon Teaser Image Released

Fox television has released the first teaser image for the new limited series return of The X-Files.

The teaser shows a title logo for The X-Files against a starry night sky.

The X-Files originally premiered in September 1993.  Over the course of its nine-season run, the influential series went from breakout sci-fi favorite to massive global hit, and became one of the most successful television dramas of all time. The show, which earned 16 Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and a Peabody Award, follows FBI special agents Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) as they investigate unexplained cases – "X-Files" – for which the only answers involve paranormal phenomena.

The new X-Files series will be helmed by creator Chris Carter, and sees both Anderson and Duchovny returning to reprise their roles as Scully and Mulder.
